Excavation Report for Bromborough Court House, Wirral
From September to December 2014 members of Bromborough’s local community and individual’s from across Merseyside and Cheshire worked with Big Heritage to explore Bromborough Court House, a potential medieval moated earthwork. With the support of the Land Trust, Wirral Autistic Society, Bromborough Travelodge, University of Chester and funding from HLF we were able to explore this intriguing site.
Based on a resistivity survey undertaken earlier in the year (to see the report click here), five evaluation trenches were excavated to explore the interior of the site.
